The NordicTrack Commercial 1750 treadmill has consistently made best treadmill lists for years, and for good reason. With options to customize your workout to suit your fitness goals, modern technology, and a hydraulic folding system, this luxury treadmill packs a punch for a manageable cost. The 14-inch touchscreen display allows you to select your workout, follow along with trainers across the globe, track your stats, and even create workouts of your own. You can pivot the touchscreen to suit your height, and rotate it 360 degrees for any classes that may be off the tread (such as strength training, stretching, yoga, etc.)

During those trainer-led classes, you’ll experience automatic incline adjustments up to 15 degrees, decline adjustments down to negative three degrees, and a max speed setting of 12mph. While its price tag may seem high off the bat, it’s pretty average for a high-tech treadmill, and we think it’s a great deal for what you’re getting with this machine. So if you’re looking for a new treadmill for your home gym, you might’ve found your match.

NordicTrack 1750 Treadmill Video Review

Our reviews writer, Jake, puts the NordicTrack 1750 to the test in his in-depth video review. From a complete walk-around of the treadmill to diving into the spec details, you can get a firsthand look at one of the most well-known treads on the market.

NordicTrack Commercial 1750 Treadmill Highlights

Whether you’re looking for a live class with your competition front and center on the iFit leaderboard or a solo mission featuring changes in terrain to mimic an outdoor run, the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 will keep your workouts engaging with a customizable workout plan. The studio classes mimic being in an actual studio with a personal trainer and fellow workout junkies.

One of our favorite features with the 1750 is that you can travel the world with a trainer as they teach you about the cultural aspects of each city highlighted during the workout. You can also filter your results based on terrain, or pick any city in the world and create your own route to walk or run thanks to the integration of Google Maps™. If you’re working with a tight budget or prioritizing a smaller footprint, this treadmill may not be for you. But rest assured that you can fold it up, so it’s not consistently taking up a large amount of floor space, and due to all of the luxury features, the price tag may be well worth it.

Who Should Buy the NordicTrack Commercial 1750

  • Anyone who loves to take a live running class. This tread comes equipped with a touchscreen where you can stream over 16,000 live and on-demand iFit classes.
  • Someone who’s obsessed with having all the latest technology — along with iFit, this tread has Bluetooth connectivity, incline and decline options, a touchscreen display that can tilt to accommodate your height while also rotating 360 degrees, and all the stat tracking you could need.
  • The integration of Google Maps is a great feature for anyone training for a marathon. Simply search the city you’ll be running your race, and you can mimic the actual course you’re preparing for.

Who Shouldn’t Buy the NordicTrack Commercial 1750

  • Anyone working with a tight budget may want to consider a cheaper alternative
  • If you aren’t interested in streaming workout classes, you may be better off with a more basic treadmill.
  • Anyone who doesn’t have a lot of available space may want to search for a smaller treadmill. The folding option here helps out in terms of storage, but this is still a relatively large product.

Price

The NordicTrack Commercial 1750 Treadmill is available for around $2,500 on the NordicTrack website. While this certainly isn’t the best option for those on a strict budget, it’s a pretty competitive price tag compared to the rest of the market. NordicTrack offers a cheaper treadmill, but due to its features, we think this is the best value option available. With this purchase, you’re getting updated technology and a free month of iFit classes ($39 value), while many treadmills of the same quality and price don’t offer similar technological value.

However, $2,500 is still a good chunk of change, so if you want to save your hard-earned cash, you might want to look elsewhere for a more basic treadmill. If you want to finance your purchase, NordicTrack has you covered. The monthly cost is ultimately determined by the warranty option you select, and whether or not you want to purchase a one-, two-, or three-year iFit membership with your tread. If you just want the basic plan, and want to pay monthly rather than yearly for iFit, you will be making payments of about $50 per month for 39 months.

Overall Build and Quality

Weighing in at a sturdy 340 pounds, the 1750 is built like a tank. Its features are designed for the running enthusiast looking to build endurance and strength in various ways. With tons of classes, programs, and customizations on the tread itself and with iFit, it’s safe to say you’ll never get bored on the NordicTrack Commercial 1750.

Features

With speeds up to 12mph, a fan with three speeds, Bluetooth connectivity for earbuds, and coaches ready to whoop your butt into shape, the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 will take your endurance, strength, and cardio to new heights. Literally — you can even run three percent downhill on this machine. Plus, the 14-inch touchscreen display makes following along to virtual classes easier than ever.

Incline range

You can take your incline down to -3 percent and up to 15 percent, making this machine clutch for anyone working on their road and trail running skills, where you often come across uneven terrain.

The -3 percent doesn’t feel too intense — it’s just enough for you to tell the difference between running flat and on a slight decline, so you shouldn’t fear your feet getting out of control as you go down. Those who work out early in the morning or late at night will enjoy the Quiet Drive Incline Tech makes transitioning your inclines quiet and seamless.

Speed range

With a speed range from zero to 12 mph, the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 can handle interval training. Whether you’re just working on your speed walk or gearing up for your next sibling rivalry sprint Olympics, this treadmill will have you prepped and ready to conquer.

Included workouts

The NordicTrack Commercial 1750 does not feature any pre-programmed workouts in its system, but you do receive a free month of iFit with your purchase, and you can always utilize the manual workout option.

Display

The 1750’s 14-inch touchscreen monitor makes it easy to follow your workout. If you’re using iFit, your coach will pop up on display here, and not only can you adjust the angle of the screen by tilting it back and forth, but you can also rotate it 360 degrees. That way you can bust out the ol’ trusty dumbbells and work on sculpting your biceps while still following along with the trainer.

iFit will list your stats along the top of the screen as you work out, and after you complete your session, you’ll receive a full workout summary on-screen. While there is a camera located at the top of the monitor, it currently doesn’t serve a purpose, but we imagine NordicTrack will add some level of compatibility in the not-too-distant future.

Speakers

The NordicTrack Commercial 1750 has two three-inch amplified speakers for you to listen to your trainer.

Fans

This machine has two AutoBreeze Workout Fans with three levels to keep you cool during a sweaty run.

Heart Rate Monitoring

Unfortunately, the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 does not come with a heart rate monitor to track your heart rate, nor does it have EKG sensors on the handlebar. But thanks to the Bluetooth technology, you can pair any existing monitor or fitness tracker with the 1750.

HDMI, USB and Other Inputs

This treadmill doesn’t have any USB ports, so don’t expect to be able to charge your phone through the tread as you run. We don’t view this as a negative though since there are so many luxury features available.

Bluetooth and Audio Options

The 1750 features Bluetooth capabilities to pair your headphones and a heart rate monitor. This allows you to listen to the iFit classes with your headphones to keep your early-morning or late-night workouts a little more hush-hush. Since there aren’t any built-in heart rate sensors, you’ll want to pair a heart rate monitor or fitness tracker to accurately track your burned calories.

Water Bottle, Cup Holders, Tablet and Phone Holders

NordicTrack redesigned the 1750, and took out some storage features. There used to be a tablet shelf below the touchscreen monitor, and a storage tray underneath the handlebar. Now, you only have two cup holders for storage, but they’re big enough to hold most water bottles and your phone. Your water bottle might wobble a little bit as you hit some higher-end speeds, but we didn’t find this to be much of an issue.

Product Specs

You can expect the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 to hold up for many years with its powerful 3.5 CHP motor, 2-ply belt, 2.5-inch rollers, and much more that make it a reliable buy. This is a quiet piece of equipment, and it responds almost immediately when you change speeds and inclines, or start/stop.

You’ll definitely be getting a high quality product along with many great technologies to accompany it.

Motor Size

The 3.5 CHP Motor power allows for hardly noticeable jumps between speeds for seamless interval workouts. In addition, when you start or stop your machine, the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 responds immediately. While some may appreciate this, it makes for very sudden starts and stops, which can be alarming if you aren’t used to or expecting them.

Running Area

The 22 x 60-inch running surface has ample room for runners looking for a little extra space to account for the occasional stumble but still keep you on track.

Weight Capacity

The NordicTrack Commercial 1750 can support exercising passengers that weigh up to 300 pounds.

Folding Options and Dimensions

When the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 is in use, it’s 80 inches long x 38 inches wide and 65 inches tall.

Unfolding the NordicTrack Commercial 1750
Unfolding the NordicTrack Commercial 1750

It folds up into a V shape, so it’s not a treadmill that will save you a lot of space when it’s not in use, but the EasyLift Assist hydraulic lift feature and wheels make stowing it away pretty painless.

Max Speed and Incline Range

The NordicTrack Commerical 1750 ranges from a -3 percent decline to a 15 percent incline, with speeds topping out at 12mph. The automatic adjustments during the trainer-led classes provide a natural feeling, making it possible to work on terrain changes, HIIT intervals, and even take a hike.

Electrical Requirements

This machine requires an outlet that can handle 120 volts AC and 15 amps — which in simpler terms — is a basic outlet in your home.

Belt Information and Roller Size

The 2.5-inch rollers and 2-ply belt are sturdy enough to handle 300 pounds and keep on rolling for many years to come.

Cushioning and Feel

Another feature that NordicTrack removed from the 1750 is the adjustable cushioning — the cushioning remains on at all times now. This may be a bit of a bummer for some people, but we didn’t feel as if the tread was harsh on our knees when running, and overall, we felt pretty comfortable.

Workout Apps and Compatibility

When checking out, you can add a one-year, two-year, or three-year iFit membership to your purchase. This will increase the initial price but save you money in the long run compared to paying a monthly membership fee. iFit offers a growing list of over 16,000 different workouts in a live and on-demand fashion consisting of strength, running, and hiking options.

You can have up to five users, take all the live or on-demand classes you want from their library of over 16,000 classes, and not spend a dime on it for an entire month (a $39 value). You can even visit exotic destinations worldwide, like Wales and New Zealand, making it difficult to get bored even when the monotony of tackling long distances on a tread sets in.

The iFit app allows you to track your stats as you go, but you will need WiFi to run iFit. If you don’t want to pay for the iFit membership after your free trial is up, you can always utilize the manual setting to create your own workouts. At the end of the day, this treadmill is meant to be used with iFit for a more integrated experience.

Subscription Options

In addition to the $39 monthly iFit membership plan, you have three different options. The one-year membership will run you around $400, the two-year plan is about $700, and the three-year membership plan is about $900. The cool thing is that you can add up to four other profiles under your account to split the payments up with any friends or family.

Warranties

Your purchase comes with a 10-Year frame warranty, a 2-Year parts warranty, and a 1-Year labor warranty. If you want added protection, you can purchase the three-year extended warranty for about $180 and the three-year maintenance plan for around $340.

Places to Buy

You can buy the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 on NordicTrack’s website or Amazon’s marketplace.

Company Information

NordicTrack is known for being successful with personal training at home on not only treadmills, but bikes, rowers, and ellipticals. They offer a 30-day trial period in which you can receive a full refund if you aren’t satisfied with your treadmill purchase. You can reach their customer support by calling 1-888-308-9616.

Final Word

The NordicTrack Commercial 1750 is one of the most popular treadmills for a reason. It has a high-quality build, the hydraulics allow you to fold the tread in a V shape to make the most of your space, and it’s full of high-tech features to make your workouts more enjoyable. You can join a studio class with a personal trainer and fellow workout enthusiasts, or learn about other cultures as you explore the world virtually with your trainer.

If you’re particularly interested in streaming iFit workouts while you run or want to test out a -3 percent decline on the tread that may help mimic your outdoor trail runs, this machine is a great option. Even though it may be a bit pricey, we think the modern technology, quiet drive, and powerful motor make the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 worth every penny.

FAQs

How much does the NordicTrack 1750 cost?

This base value for this beast of a treadmill is around $2,500, but the final price tag is determined by your iFit membership, any additional warranties you wish to purchase, and whether or not you want the white glove assembly. There’s no denying that this is an expensive investment, but we think the high-tech nature of the 1750 makes it worth the cost for those who will use it frequently.

Does the NordicTrack 1750 fold?

Yes, the treadmill does fold up, but that doesn’t mean it won’t still take up space. It rests in a V-shape when folded, so though it is smaller than when it’s laying flat for use, it will still take up a good portion of whichever room you choose to put it in. We wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for something for a small studio space.

Can you use the NordicTrack 1750 without iFit?

Yes, NordicTrack has a manual workout option to create your own custom workout. However, this treadmill was designed to be used with iFit, so you should strongly consider paying for a membership.
